— DATE

The CAVERN is a 270-degree stereoscopic immersive space at the Carnegie Mellon University Entertainment Technology Center. Similar spaces are expanding to local Pittsburgh high schools. CAVERN stands for CAVE RouNd. Like other CAVE systems, it is an alternative to Virtual Reality for creating immersive, multiuser virtual worlds. However, creating experiences for this space has historically been challenging: complex setups, limited documentation, and a steep learning curve.

The goal of this toolkit is to create a Unity package to facilitate CAVERN development, making it accessible to both experienced ETC students and beginner high school students.

We aim to make an extensible, modular toolkit targeting Unity 6, with comprehensive code documentation, tutorials, and design best practices advice.
